**NOTICE OF ELECTION**

Election of twelve (12) members of the Management Committee

of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha for the period 2025-2027

Notice is hereby given to all compliant members of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha that the election of twelve (12) members of the Management Committee of the said Sabha for the period 2025-2027 will be conducted by the Office of the Electoral Commissioner on the twelfth (12th) day of April, 2025 and that the Returning Officer will receive notices of candidature for the said election on Saturday the twenty-second (22nd) day of March, 2025 between the hours of 9.00 am and 12.00 noon at the seat of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Hindi Bhawan Road, Long Mountain.

Forms of notice of candidature may be obtained either at the seat of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha or at the Office of the Electoral Commissioner, 4th floor, Max City Building, Cnr. Louis Pasteur & Remy Ollier Street, Port Louis, during normal working hours.

Every notice of candidature shall specify the name, address and National Identity Card number of the candidate and also contain a declaration by the candidate that he is qualified to be elected as a member of the Management Committee of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha.

Every notice of candidature must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the seat of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha between the said hours of 9.00 am and 12.00 noon on 22nd March, 2025.

Notices of candidatures received by post, fax, email or otherwise will not be considered.

Application to vote by Proxy

Any compliant member who wishes to vote by proxy should appear together with the proxy before the Returning Officer at the Office of the Electoral Commissioner on or before Friday 4th April, 2025 on week days during office hours. Upon production of their National Identity Cards, a proxy will be issued by the Returning Officer.

The proxy so appointed MUST be a compliant member and may vote for not more than two compliant members.
